Minster Auctions specialises in model railways and collectors’ toys, with a strong focus on Hornby-Dublo. Our saleroom is in Leominster, Herefordshire, and we are actively seeking lots for upcoming auctions. Whether you have a single piece or an entire collection, we invite you to contact us. Our team has managed the sale of some of the most significant Hornby-Dublo collections in recent years. As a result, we consistently attract committed collectors nationwide.
If you are thinking of selling model railways and collectors’ toys in Leominster, we would be glad to hear from you. The first step is a confidential discussion and valuation. From there, we support you at every stage of the process. Our experts catalogue your collection carefully, so you get the best possible price.
Furthermore, every sale of model railways and collectors’ toys is listed online with online bidding. Your items therefore reach an international audience of collectors. You do not need a large collection to get started. Our minimum bid is £10, so we group lower-value items into one lot.
To enter items, we ask for photographic ID and a recent utility bill. This follows current Anti-Money Laundering Regulations. When your items arrive, we issue a receipt with the lots entered and any agreed reserves. Before each sale, you also receive a pre-sale notification by email or post. It confirms your lot numbers, estimates and reserves. Our seller information page explains each step in full.
We keep our charges simple. Commission is 16% of the hammer price per lot. In addition, there is an entry fee of £3 per lot. VAT applies to all charges at the current rate. Please read our full terms and conditions before you consign.
Once the sale ends, we publish the results on our website. You then receive a post-sale summary by email. Payments to sellers are typically processed within 21 days, once we have received cleared funds from the buyer. If any lots remain unsold, you can re-enter them in a future auction by agreement. Alternatively, you can collect them within seven working days. After that, storage charges of £5 per lot, per day apply.
